Wedding season brings joy, along with it exhaustion and when it is your wedding season then that is an altogether different level of happiness and exhaustion. But the wedding season does not only constitute the wedding. There is a multitude of events such as bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and the most fun night in this eventful and thrilling season to relieve you of the fatigue of planning an entire wedding, the bachelorette party with your girls.
It brings a certain kind of joy, to have an amazing time with your closest female family members and your closest female friends before tying the knot. And after months of planning the wedding; this is your night, you are the queen tonight. Plus you want your maid of honor to give you that amazing night of being a bachelorette that you deserve. As you plan with your girls at the party or a weekend getaway, you’ll encounter a few questions. One such question will be the dress code for your bachelorette party. In addition, whether it is alright or not for the bride or her maid of honor to set a dress code for the occasion.
It is Your Day after All!
It is your day, and you have the right to make a decision. So you do not need to feel bad about wanting to set a dress code. But you still have to consider what your bridesmaids want. You do not want to make them wear something they do not clearly want. When thinking about a dress code for your bachelorette party, a rule of thumb that you must remember is if you will not wear that dress for any one of them then they will not wear it for you. So it is better to be considerate. You know your girls better than anyone so you know in what dress they are comfortable in.
What’s the Plan?
Before thinking of a dress code, finalize your location. The dress code will depend on exactly what you will be doing during your bachelorette party or a bachelorette outing. The place, the time of day, and the activities will ultimately refine down your choices to a select number of dress codes for your outing. Like you will not be wearing matching shirts and sashes that say “Team Bride!” for a relaxing day at the spa; it is more appropriate for a night out. If your plan is to hit some clubs at night then your dress code will be very different than the one involving daytime activities; say wine tasting for example.
Early Bird:
You and your maid of honor have decided that everyone will be wearing matching attire or a certain color-coordinated attire then you have to tell everyone early. You will want to give time to everyone to choose a dress which will work. Nobody wants to be the odd one out because they were not given enough time to get what they required. And custom shirts, accessories such as sunglasses, sashes, or hats if provided by you or your maid of honor will make the planning a bit easier on your friends and family.
What’s Scheming? It’s Color!
Some basic color scheme ideas for a bachelorette party in fall will be Yellow dresses with navy blue sashes that read “Bride’s gang”, “Team Bride!” or “Bride Tribe”. You can also go with burgundy, amber, or maroon color for your bachelorette party color code. Or if you are into green then turquoise, emerald, and olive green are the perfect colors to wear in a Fall Bachelorette Party. Rose Pink is also an all-time favorite color for a daytime bachelorette party activity such as a day of relaxing at the spa or a wine tasting. You can also go for mustard or navy blue for daytime bachelorette fun.
The color white is specified for the bride to be, so it should be taken into consideration that no attendees of the bachelorette party wear white. It is her day and she must look the part, so do not try to outshine the bride. Avoid everything and anything that is white, though a bit of black gets the party going and black is the most sought-out color for any bachelorette event be it a daytime one or one at night.
Comfort is everything:
Getting the same t-shirts for everyone, so they can wear them for a bachelorette party can be fun but keep in mind any and every guest limitation. Not everyone has the same size or as a matter of fact, feels comfortable in certain types of clothing. It is important for the person planning the party to get an opinion from the bride as she knows everyone who is coming to her party better than the planner. If you are planning on making a t-shirt then it is a polite thing to ask everyone attending for their size so it does not become a hassle. Prioritize comfort as well, you will be having an amazing time and you do not want to be looking uncomfortable in the pictures. Like, look at her she seems to like her dress is too tight she can barely breathe.
Choose a dress that is comfortable and easy to move in. You do not have to dress in the skimpiest and the tightest outfit just because it is a bachelorette party, you really don’t. It is a wedding-related event and there are surely going to be pictures and you do not want the bride or groom’s family to discuss your dress in a bad way. Try to keep up with the theme but prioritize your comfort as well.
Bachelorette parties are a thing every bride wishes to enjoy with her best girls and with these tips you can enjoy a carefree night with your girls before your big day and how like a maid of honor you can arrange the best dress code for your friend’s bachelorette party in fall 2021.
